What You’ll Do
As a Junior Track Crew Operator, you will move railcars throughout the plant, assist with the movement of railcars for loading and unloading of products such as AN Prill, AN Solution, UAN, DEF, NH3, and CO2, and oversee Cheyenne plant rail yard. Other duties will include:
Move railcars to loading and offloading stationsThrow switches/Clean out and clear switchesInspect internal rail tracks and equipmentWeigh railcars and calculate shipping weights and loading weightsInspect railcar inspection dates before placing them at loading stationsResponsible for the inspection and care of railcar moving equipmentFuels and maintains oil and grease on railcar moverRead technical information and take appropriate action, based on interpretation of Operating Procedures, and technical manualsMakes entries to Operator Logbooks and communicates operating conditions to his/her reliefCooperates and works with other plant operators as required during startups, shutdowns and emergenciesWill train and eventually become capable of upgrading into the Senior Track Crew Operator positionMaintains good housekeeping in assigned area. ▪ Participate in SOP review and updating annuallyDemonstrate and/or lead the commitment to the pursuit of achieving Zero Harm through behavioral based safety.Ensure compliance with applicable Company HSE Performance Standards, as well as applicable acts and regulationsSupports business improvement initiatives and ensures participation from all areas of responsibility.
