Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Journeyperson Plumber - Service to join our team. In this role, you will install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems for commercial and industrial clients. You will be expected to apply your knowledge of plumbing systems, safety protocols, and building codes to ensure every project is completed to the highest standards. You may work independently or with a team and will often collaborate with contractors, clients, and other professionals.
Key Responsibilities
+ Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, valves, fixtures, and fittings
+ Interpret blueprints and specifications to plan system layouts
+ Cut, thread, and assemble pipes using proper tools and techniques
+ Perform welding and soldering tasks as needed
+ Follow plumbing codes and safety procedures at all times
+ Deliver professional, courteous service to clients
+ Assist in training apprentices by demonstrating techniques and explaining best practices
+ Keep accurate records and maintain clean, organized work areas
Qualifications
+ Journeyperson Plumber Certification or equivalent trade qualification
+ In-depth knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, and materials
+ Solid understanding of plumbing codes and safety standards
+ Ability to read and work from blueprints and technical drawings
+ Skilled in pipefitting, welding, soldering, and related techniques
+ Strong attention to detail and time management skills
+ Good communication and customer service abilities
Physical Requirements
+ Must be able to lift 10 to 25 pounds frequently, up to 50 pounds with help, and occasionally lift up to 20 pounds overhead
+ Able to walk, bend, climb, sit, and stand for long periods
+ Must be capable of working indoors and outdoors in various environments, including construction sites and uneven terrain
+ Requires normal vision, hearing, and speech (with or without aids)
+ Must be able to use ladders and basic hand tools safely
Other Requirements
+ Must be able to work 8-hour shifts, with occasional extended shifts of 10 to 12 hours
+ Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
