Search Contact EmailKeven Carroll, Keven.Carroll@colostate.edu Position Summary Position is a licensed Journey Level Plumber, as such is expected to support Remodel and Construction Services with project and single trade work assignments. Position will maintain a clean and organized worksite, shop, and vehicle which includes organization of material, equipment and tooling. Reliability is an essential requirement as the work is typically schedule driven. The following are conditions of employment for the position: + Valid Colorado Driver’s license as operating a state vehicle may be required. + Ability to pass a motor vehicle and criminal history background check. + Ability to meet the physical demands of the position. Which includes some heavy lifting (50 lbs.) on frequent basis and will require manual dexterity, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and handling. + Ability to work in environmental conditions to include but not limited to exposure to weather, noise, vibration, heights, etc. Position Minimum Qualifications + Must be fully competent, licensed (State of Colorado/ DORA ) journeyman plumber with commercial experience. + Experienced, familiar and capable with performing code compliant installations and repairs. + Ability to follow Safe Work practices and wear required Personal Protective equipment such as safety glass, hard hats, etc. + Demonstrated communication skills with the ability to follow both written and verbal instruction. + Ability to complete tasks in a timely fashion. Essential Job Duties Job Duty CategoryPlumbing Duty/Responsibility This Journey Level, Licensed plumbing position will support the Remodel and Construction Services Plumbing Section with plumbing and mechanical repairs, alterations, modifications and new construction work on Projects and Single Trade requests. Work will include but is not limited to the following systems: + Potable and Non-Potable Water distribution + Sanitary waste and Vent Systems + Fixture Installations + Gas Distribution + Process, DI Water Distribution + Hydronic Heat Systems and Equipment + Chill Water Systems and Equipment + Air and Vacuum Systems and Equipment + Steam and Condensate Systems and Equipment + Med Gas Systems and Equipment + Other duties as assigned based on workload balancing.
