Job Description

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS: • Possess a valid Journeyman Electrician License for the State of Texas. • Possess a clean and valid state driver’s license. Understand state and local building codes, and know OSHA, Environmental Protection Agency, and other electrical regulations • • Heavy lifting over 50 pounds, climbing ladders, enclosed spaces, etc. • Strong analytical and organizational skills. Possess the ability to communicate technical information to the client and coworkers effectively to promote efficiency and safety. • • Capable of analyzing and solving problems with various electrical controls and systems. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Must be able to work in a team oriented and safety conscious environment. Must have working knowledge and be able to perform assigned tasks including but not limited to testing and troubleshooting electrical systems using tools that include voltmeters, oscilloscopes and ohmmeters and wiring diagrams, schematics, sketches, and blueprints. • • Must be able to communicate effectively with team members. • Ability to plan and layout work projects from wiring diagrams, schematics, sketches, blueprints and/or verbal instructions. • Document actions, testing results, observations, final diagnosis of problems. • Inventory and properly track supplies, equipment, tools, and machinery. • Repair electrical issues by replacing or installing components, wiring or devices. • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all company guidelines and OSHA safety requirements. Operate vehicles and powered equipment to include but not limited to trucks, ATV’s, ladders, scaffolding, platform, and lifts to work on electrical systems as required and needed. • • Complete work orders as assigned.

• Ability to select the correct materials to complete work assignments. • Must be willing to participate in work not directly related to electrical when required. • Coordinate and execute electrical preventive maintenance inspections and repairs in all assigned facilities.              • Respond to emergency power failures when required.              • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by site management. Must be willing to work some evenings and weekends as required when doing electrical shutdowns or maintenance that could result in a power loss to an occupied facility.  • • Must be willing to work overtime as needed. • Basic Computing Skills in Outlook, Excel & Word May be only maintenance staff member on duty during certain shifts; may be required to work extended periods of time without relief when responding to priority/emergency situations, may require shift work and/or stand-by on-call duties.
