Job Description

CEDA is looking for a Journeyman 310T Truck & Coach Mechanic to join our shop in Sarnia. The schedule will be Monday to Friday based out of our truck shop at 1369 Lougar Ave.

CEDA’s Sarnia location is a union shop; candidates applying to this position should know this role is unionized with the International Union of Operating Engineers local 793.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Preventative maintenance on Wet Vacuum, Dry Vacuum, High Pressure Units and Highway tractors and trailersOngoing diagnostic and repair of diesel engines, after treatment/emissions, hydraulic systems and pumpsTroubleshoot issues, inspect equipment and replace or repair defective partsInterpret work ordersRequired to go on service calls in the fieldWork alongside apprentices and delegate workAttend daily tool box and safety meetings as scheduled

 Role Specifications

Certified Journeyman 310T Heavy Equipment TechnicianValid Class G licence with no more than 5 demerits in the last 3 years is requiredValid Class AZ or DZ license would be an assetCVIP licence is an assetWeight handling of up to 50 lbsExperience in hydraulic, electrical, and pump systems is an assetAble to provide a negative pre-employment drug and alcohol testAble to provide your own tools
