Step into the role of Facilities Maintenance Operative here at Joules Head Office!
Are you a hands-on individual with a knack for fixing things and a commitment to keeping facilities in top shape? We're looking for a dedicated Facilities Maintenance Operative to join our busy 60,000 square foot head office - ‘The Barn’ in Market Harborough.
What to expect on a day to day basis:
Responsible for a wide range of essential tasks to ensure our premises remain safe, functional, and well-maintained. Conduct regular inspections of buildings and grounds, reporting any safety, security, or maintenance concerns. Decorating, furniture assembly and general maintenance for the building. Carrying out minor repairs across electrical, plumbing, carpentry. Monitoring and liaising with contractors working on behalf of the Facilities Department. Lifting of heavy / bulky items, loading and unloading of vehicles. Transporting stock, deliveries and items to departments around the building and events. Asset management - managing inventory and exit route of samples and other company assets. Assisting with grounds maintenance and general upkeep of external areas. Assisting with deep cleaning and general upkeep of internal areas. Provide cover for Office Manager, Goods in and Reception roles in periods of absence. Provide first aid and fire marshal assistance (training will be provided). Responsible for the careful handling and secure transportation of goods via a Long Wheel Base van, including pre-trip vehicle checks and accurate delivery documentation. Responsible for the routine maintenance and upkeep of the company's Long Wheel Base van. Designated key holder and out of hours ‘on call’ contact for any security concerns or building issues across evenings and weekends.

This is a hands-on, multi-trade role ideal for someone with a strong background in building maintenance and a customer-focused attitude. Take pride in your work and have a keen eye for detail. Proven experience in a similar facilities maintenance role, ideally in an office environment. Qualifications in various trades - plumbing, electrical. A good understanding of health and safety practices. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of the Google Suite would be desirable. A full, UK driving license is essential. The successful candidate will need to be physically capable of undertaking tasks such as manual handling, operating power tools, and working at heights.

Where will you be working
This is a part time role, 20 hours per week based at ‘The Barn’ - Joules’ purpose built Head Office in Market Harborough, Leicestershire.
There will be the opportunity to undertake ad-hoc overtime up to 37.5 hours per week in line with business needs.
For the most part, this role will be based at our Head Office Monday-Friday, however, depending on the needs of the business this role will require some travel to our retail stores, photoshoot locations, countrywide events and warehouse locations and will occasionally require flexibility to work evenings, early mornings or weekends at short notice
