Job Details:

Feed Mill Worker Labor - FM02 – 3rd  Shift

schedule:

10:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m. – Will train on dayshift for approximately 30 days.

Wage:  $18.35 per hour plus $2.00 per hour shift premium.

 Must not own, possess, or otherwise maintain any domestic, wild or exotic fowl to be considered.

Will not consider if an applicant has been employed by Tyson 3X or more.           Only applicants from the following counties in AR will be considered:  Washington, Benton and Madison, Adair County in OK, or within a 50 mile radius of the mill.                          

This position is responsible for cleaning and maintaining operational areas of the mill, operating machinery, forklift and PIT,  upkeep of the grounds and landscaping around the mill, ingredients receiving in the warehouse, unloading trucks and railcars (requires operating a locomotive/track mobile in a safe and productive manner), as needed while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Job Summary

1. Ability to Sweep and clean assigned areas of the mill and sign off when completed.
2. Help and assist with unloading ingredients activities like unloading of rail car/trucks which requires operating a track-mobile.
3. Ability to clean up feed spills.
4. Ability to perform ground keeping duties including using landscaping equipment such as mowers and trimmers, have the ability to make minorrepairs and maintenance on the equipment.
5. Ability to use and maintain air driver equipment like blow guns to assist in cleaning activities.
6. Ability to use high pressure water hoses to wash down and clean areas of the feed mill.
7. Ability to use PIT to move pallets of ingredients.
8. Must wear required PPE ear protection.
9. Able to work in hot, dry, dusty, wet, and cold environments. Heavy exposure to ingredient dust and inclement weather.
10. Ability to work holidays, weekends, and flexible hours as required based on demand scheduling.
11. Ability to work in elevated areas and follow all safety procedures.
12. Able to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity Guidelines including an agreement to avoid any avian species.
13. Maintain good housekeeping including service areas.
14. Communicate to all levels of Operations including Customers and Vendors both orally and in writing where required.
15. Follow and Operate within all Tyson Health and Safety protocols.
16. Able to Lift up to 60 lbs. and/or up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
17. Stand, Sit, Walk, Climb Ladder/Stairs with the ability to sustain physical activity throughout the day.

Ability to drive a company pick-up after verification of a good clean driving record and valid Driver’s License to run errands for company business as needed. Complete all other tasks assigned by management. Will be required to Cross-Train for other positions in the mill.

Requirements:

Education: None

Experience: Previous experience operating a forklift, or a skid-steer (small Bobcat) preferred, have the ability to operate heavy machinery safely.

Special Skills:
Ability to certify and maintain Forklift and PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) Certification.
LOTO (Lock Out-Tag Out) Training (this requires the ability to read, write and understand specific procedures.

Must have a valid Driver’s License and a Clean Driving record.
