Primary Location: United States (US) - Louisiana  - Thibodaux   

 

As a Painter with John Deere Thibodaux, you will:

 

Paint parts, assemblies, and/or complete machines and service paint systems and equipment in a production environment focused on safety, quality, and teamwork.

 

Job details are dependent on duties assigned but in general consist of the following:

Read and comprehend work instructions and follow established procedures. Prep, clean, and prepare parts for paint processes. Prepare paint by use of mixers, thinners, and/or adjusting equipment. Change and adjust nozzles, valves, and paint guns. Regulate flow of air, paint, and/or voltage levels for paint material application. Apply paint by use of various paint application processes such as spray-gun, electro-deposition and/or flow coat equipment. Check results for conformance to specifications and make necessary corrections. Utilize manufacturing tools to record data and keep records for quality and maintenance. Load, unload, and move materials. Assist and support other team members. Clean work area and perform other miscellaneous duties inherent to the job.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years of age. Must have at least one of the following:

▪ High School Diploma or G.E.D.

▪ National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC)

▪ At least 3 years of manufacturing work experience

At least 6 months or more of prior experience with manufacturing and/or automotive paint processes; including experience painting with electrostatic spray applications. Ability to perform manual tasks related to described job duties for duration of work shift; including but not limited to frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and performing of repetitive actions. Ability and willingness to work any shift and potential overtime (including weekends).

 

 

Preferred Qualifications (What Makes You Stand Out): 

At least 2 years of top coat experience using Graco PD2ks spray systems.
