Title: Assembly Technician - 113651
Primary Location: Canada (CA) - British Columbia  - Langley  

 

John Deere Specialty Products is seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN at our Langley Facility. We are looking for motivated candidates to be members of our high quality, fast-paced team!

Position Summary
In this role you will be part of a high-performance team responsible for a variety of semi-skilled tasks necessary to build quality equipment. Candidates should possess the following preferred qualifications, capabilities, and knowledge:

Perform work in accordance with all internal quality and safety standards Works individually at a production station or at an assembly station as part of a group, to perform operations on various parts according to specifications and build schedules. Performs own setups and/or works from part prints and/or job specifications. Conducts and records performance tests, makes final adjustments and checks defects using testing equipment as required. Checks results for conformance to print and/or specifications and makes necessary corrections. Records data and/or keeps records for quality, maintenance and/or preventive maintenance, etc. Performs rework and/or repair on completed products by tear down and re-assembly, installing, replacing, reworking, fitting and adjusting parts as required. Moves and positions loads as required. Lubricates, cleans and performs preventative maintenance and minor repair as necessary. Performs training, cross-training and the rotation of jobs, and fill-in when necessary. Contribute towards Kaizen and SCR initiatives. Assists and support other team members with minimal supervision. Perform required daily safety and quality checklists. Cleans work area and performs other miscellaneous duties inherent to the job.

Requirements

Experience with various hand and power tools Experience with overhead cranes preferred  Basic computer skills High School Diploma or G.E.D Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment

 

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and push up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. Ability to work from heights up to 30 feet. Ability to bend, stoop, reach and climb ladders. Ability to climb, kneel, work above your head and in tight spaces Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with varying temperatures. 

 

Hour of Work

Successful incumbents must be available to work Monday to Friday 7:30AM – 4:00PM.

Starting rate of $28.84/hour Safety equipment will be supplied
