Temporary position$18.00 /hourFull Time work availableFirst Shift (Monday through Friday from 08:30am to 05:00pm)Work with Section 8 residents to increase participation in the Jobs Plus Program through direct contact with residents. Works directly with public housing residents assisting them in the accomplishment of employment & self-sufficiency goals by planning and coordinating educational & job training activities. The employee works with the educational & business communities in developing placement opportunities for residents & with social service agencies to find appropriate supportive services.
Jobs Plus Coordinator Qualifications:
Actively recruits participants for the Jobs Plus Program and connects public housing residents to services that promote self-sufficiency.Coordinates supportive services aimed at increasing earned income and reducing dependency on public assistance.Develops individualized service plans for heads of household and participating family members, guiding them in setting and achieving goals.Acts as a caseworker by monitoring progress, offering ongoing support, and maintaining case histories and evaluations.Builds strong relationships with community agencies, educational institutions, and job training providers to create opportunities for participants.Organizes onsite workshops and makes appropriate referrals to ancillary services.Ensures accurate and current recordkeeping while supporting Section 3 efforts and attending meetings as required.Applicant may be subject to a background checkPre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment*A conviction record will not necessarily prevent you from being employed.
