Job Cost Audit Clerk
Description We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Job Cost Audit Clerk to join our team in Northwood, Ohio. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of job cost audits while supporting the overall financial processes of the organization. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and values integrity, precision, and teamwork. Responsibilities: • Conduct detailed daily audits of jobs and maintenance records to ensure accuracy and compliance. • Collaborate with dispatchers to review technician time logs and visit notes as part of the pre-audit process. • Verify and reconcile job and maintenance records tagged for review, ensuring all necessary corrections are identified and addressed. • Create additional job records when necessary for billable items, such as refrigerant usage. • Tag audited records for final review by service managers, ensuring all processes are completed with precision and efficiency. • Work closely with dispatchers and other team members to streamline auditing processes and improve overall accuracy. • Set and achieve weekly targets for open job and maintenance records to ensure timely invoicing. • Maintain confidentiality and uphold high standards in all interactions with internal and external stakeholders. • Utilize Sage software and other systems to maximize efficiency and performance in auditing tasks. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience in job cost accounting. • Minimum of 2 years of experience in auditing, invoice reconciliation, or related roles. • Proficiency in Sage Intacct or similar accounting software is highly preferred. • Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce error-free work consistently. • Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities effectively. • Ability to adapt to changes and restructure tasks as necessary in a dynamic work environment. • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders. • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards in all work processes.
