**Overview**
The Payroll Team Lead will assist the payroll department in managing employee payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing. This role requires hands-on experience in payroll administration, tax compliance, and data management, offering valuable exposure to payroll systems and practices. This position will manage a team of 4 payroll employees, including two interns. In addition, the Payroll Team Lead is responsible for the procurement process for wellness events and office equipment.
**Responsibilities**
**Payroll Processing:**
+ Collecting, reviewing, and verifying employee work hours and payroll data.
+ Support the team in processing payroll for employees in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.
+ Help update and maintain payroll records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
+ Assist in reviewing and resolving discrepancies in payroll data, including missing hours or incorrect deductions.
**Tax Compliance Support:**
+ Ensuring accurate tax withholdings and deductions for employees.
+ Help prepare payroll tax reports and filings in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
+ Support the team in preparing and distributing annual tax forms such as W-2s and 1099s.
**Employee Records Management:**
+ Maintaining and updating employee payroll records, ensuring they reflect changes in pay rates, deductions, and personal information.
+ Creating reports related to employee earnings, deductions, and taxes.
+ Managing and ensuring the confidentiality of employee payroll information.
**Benefits and Deductions Administration:**
+ Processing benefits enrollments and deductions, such as health insurance, retirement contributions, and other voluntary benefits.
+ Verifying and maintaining records of employee benefit elections and deductions.
**Payroll Reporting and Analysis:**
+ Generating payroll reports, including weekly, monthly, and year-end reports.
+ Track and report on payroll-related data, such as overtime, vacation balances, and bonuses.
**Qualifications**
**Education** :
+ Bachelor's Degree in human resources, administration, or accounting.
**Experience:**
+ 5+ years of proven experience in payroll management, hiring, labor relations, social security, and purchasing/procurement.
+ Up-to-date knowledge of Colombian labor regulations.
+ Experience in supplier relations and managing basic purchasing budgets.
**Personal Skills:**
+ Leadership skills, assertive communication, and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
+ High level of organization, analysis, and attention to detail.
