Job Title: Senior Test Automation Engineer (SDET)

About the Role
UST Global® is seeking a highly skilled Senior Test Automation Engineer (SDET) to join our engineering team,The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in automation frameworks, test design, and troubleshooting, along with hands-on experience in Java-based application development and testing. This role requires excellent communication skills, as it involves close collaboration with domain experts, developers, QA engineers, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Scrum teams to identify testing needs and define test strategies across manual and automated testing.

Design and develop robust test frameworks and automation scripts for UI, API, functional, performance, and load testing.

Execute and report results of comprehensive test suites, ensuring high quality and timely delivery.

Partner with QA teams to establish a balanced QA strategy combining manual and automated tests.

Perform technical reviews with developers and peers, ensuring code quality and testability.

Conduct root cause analysis and provide actionable insights to the development team.

Communicate issues and progress effectively with client stakeholders and UST leadership.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related technical field.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to bridge between technical and business stakeholders.

Strong expertise in QA methodologies, test processes, and best practices.

6+ years of experience in software testing, with solid background in both manual and automation testing.

2+ years of hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and Cucumber.

Proficiency in Java/J2EE, object-oriented programming, and service-oriented architectures.

Experience testing cloud-native architectures including microservices, multi-tenancy, and RESTful APIs.

Expertise in API testing using tools like Rest Assured, HTTPClient, or Karate.

Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, including writing and validating queries.

Hands-on experience with TestNG for test execution and reporting.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins.
