The ideal candidate will be * a great communicator * adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams * have a proven track record of leading development projects in a fast-paced environment. * Lead and manage a team of developers in the design development and deployment of user-centric analyst systems. * Collaborate with product managers UX/UI designers and other stakeholders to gather and prioritize requirements ensuring projects align with user needs and business goals. **Required technical and professional expertise** * Proven experience in designing and implementing large-scale enterprise applications using Java and web technologies. * In-depth knowledge of Java frameworks like Spring, Hibernate, and web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Angular. * Strong understanding of software architecture principles and patterns, and experience with microservices, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native development. * Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyse complex systems, identifying areas for optimiation and improvement. * Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You must be able to hold or gain a UK government security clearance. **Preferred technical and professional experience** * Experience with containeriation technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes. * Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation. * Knowledge of data engineering and experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka. * Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation, such as using Jenkins, GitLab, or CircleCI.
