Position Description:

We are looking for an experienced Java Developer who could join the team of an international bank from the beginning of August for an estimated 6-month contract with high probability of extension.

The Strategic Market Data Service initiative supports valuation processes for Risk Control, Financial Markets, and Treasury teams by delivering independent market data for trading positions across a wide range of financial products. The goal is to simplify and centralize the market data ecosystem by consolidating existing data repositories into a single, unified platform.
At the core of this initiative is the Market Data Repository Platform (MDR+), which is built on the GoldenSource EDM software and includes the Independent Pricing Unit (IPU)—an application responsible for delivering controlled, independent end-of-day market data.
MDR+ is a fully cloud-native platform, integrating vendor components, custom extensions, and interfaces with existing systems and services across the organization.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Experience in banking or financial services (ideal)
• Experience with software development in large organizations
• Strong skills in Java and Spring
• Familiarity with:
o Kubernetes
o Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
o SQL
o Python (nice to have)
o JUnit
o Atlassian toolset (Jira, Bitbucket)
o TeamCity
