Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Java Developer to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in building scalable, event-driven applications using modern Java frameworks and tools. You will work on cutting-edge technologies including Kafka, Kubernetes, and Quarkus/Spring, contributing to the design and development of robust microservices and real-time data processing systems.
ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain high-performance Java applications.Implement event-driven architectures using Kafka and Kafka Streams.Utilize Kafka Streams and data structures to optimize application performance.Develop microservices using Quarkus or Spring Boot.Integrate and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes and Docker.Apply OptaPlanner/TimeFold for solving complex planning and optimization problems.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.Write clean, maintainable code and follow best practices in software development.Manage project dependencies and builds using Maven.Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes.Essential SkillsStrong proficiency in Java, with deep understanding of Kafka Streams and data structures.Hands-on experience with Kafka and Kafka Streams for real-time data processing.Experience with event-driven architectures and asynchronous programming.Proficiency in Quarkus or Spring Boot frameworks.Familiarity with OptaPlanner or TimeFold for constraint solving and optimization.Solid understanding of Kubernetes and container orchestration.Experience with Docker for managing Kubernetes applications.Strong knowledge of Maven for project build and dependency management.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.Experience in cloud-native development and deployment.Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $90.00/hr.
