Title:  Pricing & Analytics Manager – Japan Commercial Organization
Reports to: Japan Commercial Finance Director (FBP), with dotted-line to International Pricing COE
Location: Tokyo, Japan

The Pricing & Analytics Manager will lead the Japan Pricing Team and own the strategic pricing agenda for Japan, in line with global pricing excellence standards. This leadership role has been created as part of a critical compliance and commercial margin uplift program

Key Responsibilities:

Lead pricing governance and strategy for Japan across franchisesAct as the system owner for Pricing tool to be implemented locally in JapanEstablish and monitor approval workflows, thresholds, and escalation protocolsPartner with Sales, Marketing, and BU leadership to shape pricing strategy and optimize discount structuresChair the Deal Desk function, overseeing complex deal simulation and approvalDrive audit readiness by ensuring 100% traceability and compliance in pricing recordsIdentify pricing leakage, design policy controls, and lead continuous improvement initiativesCoordinate with the International Pricing COE and Japan Com Ops to access, develop and embed best practices such as discount review mechanisms, floor prices, list price strategies etc

Requirements:

6–10 years of experience in Pricing, Commercial Finance, Strategic AnalyticsProven leadership experience and ability to manage cross-functional teamsCommand of ERP and workflow systems (AX preferred), Pricing tools (Appian or Mendix preferably) and data visualization tools (Power BI)Excellent stakeholder management skills and business acumenFluent in Japanese and business-level English is a must.

Strategic Impact:

This role is pivotal in delivering a multimillion annual uplift in gross profit through improved discount governance. It will spearhead the transition from fragmented, manual workflows to a unified pricing system and will play a central role in margin enhancement, risk mitigation, and operational scalability.
