IWM Senior Business Manager (ED/MD) / IWM Head of Strategy & Innovation

International Wealth Management (IWM) is a segment of the overall Wealth Management (WM) business that is dedicated to internationally focused advisors and clients.  IWM has been one of the largest growth businesses within WM over the last few years. As a result of its growth, IWM has been a strategic focus of the Firm. The IWM business manages ~$250bn in AuM across 70+ jurisdictions.

IWM is looking to a hire a senior ED/Junior MD professional to assist the Head of IWM manage the business. The role will report into the Head of IWM and the COO of PWM.

Ideal candidate would be an executive that understands the IWM business and broader Firm. The candidate must be a self-starter, highly motivated and focused on execution leveraging their skills and network within the firm.

The job requires the candidate to lead across several aspects of managing the IWM business, included but not limited to:

Lead a team of professionals across IWM Strategy, Business Management, and ProductsPartner with key stakeholders including Legal, Risk, Compliance, Audit, 1st line AML, Ops/Tech, PWM Portfolio (Global Sports, Family office Resources, MFO, MSWC), Lat AM management team, the Integrated Firm Management team etc.Define and refine IWM strategy for business development and platform improvement and lead strategic initiatives including:Develop a platform to deliver multi-currency and multi-entity capabilities to WM clientsIdentify path forward for Financial Advisors to send emails to clients in dual languagesPartner with Head of IWM Intermediaries Strategy and key stakeholders across divisions to develop a comprehensive and robust frameworkPartner with IWM Product to deliver new offshore products to the Field in coordination with Investment Solutions, MSIM, and other stakeholders as well as support Product expansion in collaboration with MSFOManage team across key business management areas, including:Maintain Client event oversight in coordination with Events teamActively manage the annual Budgeting process and discretionary spendParticipate in key client meetings and events including VIPsConduct Market visits to maintain connectivity with Field leadership and International Client Advisors and identify opportunities for improvements in IWM offerings, process, technology etc.Work closely with external thought leaders/vendors (McKinsey, Cap Gemini, KPMG etc.) on competitive intelligence on offshore business

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $150,000 and $250,000 per year atthe commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basisand is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also includecommission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentivepackages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
