Job description:
We are seeking an experienced Middleware Administrator with strong Linux skills to assist with design, installation, configuration and support of the middleware infrastructure to support our customer’s java applications.

The successful candidate will be able to perform the following:
• Reverse engineer an existing middleware environment and be able to document the configurations.
• Design, install and configure middleware environment.
• Deploy applications into the environment.
• Patch and upgrade middleware environments.
• Performance tune environments as deemed necessary.
• Implement and maintain security configurations, including SSL/TLS certificates and access controls.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Work with DevOps and automation tools to streamline deployments and system management.
• Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning activities.
• Monitor system performance.
• Provide operational support of the middleware environment.
• Triage application issues and perform “root cause analysis.


Required Skills and Qualifications:
• 5 years of experience in administering and managing Oracle WebLogic Application Server environments.
• 5 years of experience in administering and managing JBOSS Application Server environments.
• Proficiency in Solaris/RHEL Operating Systems.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Shell, Python, or Perl for automation and task management.
• Hands-on experience with clustering, load balancing, and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of webservers and its integration with middleware Application Servers.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in documenting requirements and operating procedures.

Preferred Skills
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as SCOM, Splunk, or any APM tool.
• Understanding of DevOps practices and experience with tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, or Docker.
• Knowledge and experience supporting Apache HTTP Server.
• Knowledge and experience supporting Apache Tomcat Application Server.
• Experience working in Azure environments.
