ITS Application Specialist I / IS Care Connect

Information Management will have primary responsibility for design buildconfiguration testing validation and ongoing supporttroubleshooting of the Epic Health Information Management modules and other identified associated applications They will be responsible for obtaining and maintaining an in depth knowledge of application functionality and acquiringutilizing knowledge of operational workflows used with the Epic system The Specialist will follow internal ITS build change control and issue management policies and procedures They will complete in depth and precise investigation and documentation of operational specifications and application functionality to deliver expected outcomes Attention to detail and customer focus are critical skills for this position Successful candidates enjoy helping others learn and adopt usage of the application They will work closely with HIM and CodingCDI operations system vendors consultants all ITS applications teams and technical services to troubleshoot and resolve incidents and service requests in a timely mannerFocus Areas Coding and CDI Release of Information Identity Deficiency Tracking ResponsibilitiesProvide ongoing maintenance and support of issuesenhancements for listed Epic ApplicationsTroubleshoot research and solve technically challenging problems and customer issuesTests and verifies software releases upgrades and any changes prior to the promotion of build to the production environmentMaintain current knowledge of technology by attending appropriate continuing education trainingseminars and reading related periodicalsParticipates in new implementation installation projectsApplication level securityMaintain andor modify application workqueuesMaintain andor modify application reports and dashboardsUnderstands the operational issues within their application area well enough to represent user needsAnalyzes workflow decisions and how they translate into application configurations to ensure system design reflects decisions Anticipates and provides solutions to problems with the necessary priorities Presents solution to operational leaders within respective teamareaTroubleshoot research and solve technically challenging problems involving integrated systemsAssists in the development and documentation of Standard Work Processes that will be used to support the applicationActively participates in weekly team meetings to discuss team and project related activities issues changes communications and updatesSupports team members with application and information systems knowledgeCollaborates with vendor resources plays an active role in managing the technical build and issue resolutionDocuments and maintains all required system design and build documents and configures system accordinglyPerforms in depth analysis of workflows data collection report details and other technical issues associated with the use of their respective systemContributes in the preparation and execution of testing scripts and materials and performs unit system and integrated testing tasksPromotes a team atmosphere that is conducive to the overall accomplishment of goals
