Description of Work Unit
CEMML is a research, education and service unit within the Warner College of Natural Resources at Colorado State University ( CSU ). CEMML applies the latest and most appropriate science to promote the sustainable management of natural and cultural resources on Department of Defense (DoD) and other public lands. We provide technical support, conduct applied research, and offer career development and learning opportunities to support resource stewardship. We collaborate with our sponsors and within CSU to resolve complex environmental issues, leaving a legacy of science-based decisions that sustain our resources for future generations.

Position Summary
An ITAM Technical Support – Purchasing Agent (Technical Support II) position is available at Schofield Barracks, HI with Colorado State University ( CSU ) and the Center for Environmental Management of Military Lands ( CEMML ). This position is responsible for coordinating and purchasing parts, supplies, and materials in support of field operations, employees and shop/yard needs in support of the Army’s Integrated Training Area Management ( ITAM ) Program at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. The position also involves coordinating equipment rentals and repairs and provides purchasing support assistance to Pohakuloa Training Area ( PTA ) staff. Work location is located on US Army Garrison Schofield Barracks, Oahu, Hawaii.
Schofield Barracks was established in 1908 to provide mobile defense of Pearl Harbor and the entire island. Located 20 miles from Honolulu on the plateau or “central valley” of Oahu between the two volcanic mountains that comprise the island, the nearly 18,000-acre installation is home to the U.S. Army Garrison, Hawaii.
Work location is dependent on the needs of the partner/project/role and requires staff to be fully in-person.
Required Job Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications include:
• A High school Diploma, GED , or equivalent
• At least 5 years of experience in land management and land restoration
• At least 1 year of experience purchasing supplies, materials, and coordinating equipment rentals and repairs for land restoration support activities
• Ability working collaboratively and productively with a variety of stakeholders
• Experience working on military lands
• Physically able to work outdoors and perform strenuous labor under all weather conditions (e.g., heat and humidity)
• Able to lift 40 pounds repeatedly without assistance
• Be able to follow directions, work collectively with others as a team, and maintain safe working standards
• Proficient English communication skills
Preferred Job Qualifications

+ 2+ years of experience in the following:
+ Purchasing parts, supplies, and materials in support of field operations
+ Coordinating equipment rentals
+ Coordinating equipment repairs
+ Working with vendors to secure services and support
+ Maintaining accurate purchase records and submitting requisitions as required
+ Experience with shipping and receiving
+ Prior experience supporting the Integrated Training Area Management ( ITAM ) program
+ Working knowledge and experience working with the Department of the Army or other federal land-management agencies
+ Experience with land rehabilitation, vegetation management techniques, and erosion control practices
+ Excellent written and oral communication skills
