We are looking for an IT Specialist VIE to join our team! Our team is looking for an IT Technician to support the assigned facility in the daily operations of the local network and IT hardware and software systems connected to it. This position shall serve as the administrator for and provide user support of information and communication business systems, telecommunications and related issues.
Your mission, roles and responsibilities Provide Level 1 IT Support : Assist users with shop floor and Manufacturing Execution Systems issues; escalate to Level 2 or 3 when needed.Manage Hardware and Software Issues: Troubleshoot and replace hardware; support users with MS Office and PC-related problems.System Maintenance: Handle server disk space, OS patching, and ensure system backups are functioning properly.User Support and Ticketing: Create, manage, and escalate support tickets via FITS Help Desk system.Device Setup and Distribution: Prepare and distribute desktops/laptops; perform basic network troubleshooting.Support Critical Applications: Provide 1st and 2nd level support for key applications (ERP, Supplier Kanban, TCO) and local IT incidents.Project Implementation: Support the deployment of new local applications and infrastructure projects.Continuous Improvement: Implement enhancements to existing systems and ensure user ownership through training and procedures.Communication and Coordination: Participate in daily plant meetings, communicate with plant management, and align with IT teams.Compliance and Ethics: Apply company standards and policies (IT security, hardware/software compliance, ethics, safety, etc.).Your profile and competencies to succeed You have strong troubleshooting skills and know when to escalate issues.You are customer-oriented and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.You are familiar with Microsoft Windows environments (Win7, Win10, Server 2012/2016/2019).You are comfortable using Microsoft Office 2016 and Office 365.You have a good understanding of PC and server hardware/software.You are interested in or have experience with shop floor systems (e.g., sequencing, traceability).You have some knowledge or training in Cisco networking (a plus).You are familiar with SAP or eager to learn.You are fluent in English, both written and spoken.You are organized, proactive, and able to work in a multicultural team.What we can do for you You will work within an international team full of energy;You will work on challenges that matter;You will find a strong emphasis on talent development and abundant opportunities for growth;You will have the autonomy to launch processes and to be accountable for them as a process owner;A powerful VIE community spirit within Forvians.Why join us
