(20%) + Installs, configures, tests, maintains, monitors, and troubleshoots end-user workstations and related hardware and software to deliver required desktop service levels. Installs anti-virus software and ensure virus definitions are up to date. (20%) + Performs hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, implementing file backups, and configuring systems and applications. Collaborates with LAN technicians/network administrators to ensure efficient operation of the company’s desktop computing environment. (20%) + Assesses the need for and implement performance upgrades to PC boxes, including the installation of CPUs, I/O and NIC cards, hard disks, ribbon cables, hard drives, RAM, memory chips, CD-ROMs, and so on. (20%) + Assists in preparing, maintaining, and upholding procedures for logging, reporting, and statistically monitoring desktop operations. Prepares tests and applications for monitoring desktop performance, and then provide performance statistics and reports.
