We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused IT Technician to join our dynamic IT support team. This role is critical in delivering technical support across corporate offices and apartment community locations, ensuring timely resolution of IT-related issues and maintaining operational continuity. The ideal candidate will be proficient in both remote and desk-side support, with expertise in Windows 10/11, networking, telecom systems, and IT service management.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
+ Provide remote and on-site support for Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office suite, and common business applications.
+ Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and telecom issues using ITIL best practices.
+ Troubleshoot Meraki networks and VoIP phone systems to ensure connectivity and performance.
+ Perform regular preventative maintenance on PCs, printers, and copiers.
Service Management & Communication
+ Respond to support requests via ServiceNow, logging incidents and service requests with clear documentation.
+ Communicate effectively with end-users to understand issues, set realistic expectations, and provide timely updates and resolutions.
+ Prioritize and escalate issues to meet SLAs and response time targets.
Installation, Configuration & Deployment
+ Image, configure, and deploy new computers; re-image existing systems as needed.
+ Assist with software installations, upgrades, and hardware configurations.
+ Provision and support mobile devices and corporate office phones.
Compliance, Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
+ Ensure systems are patched and secured against viruses and malicious attacks.
+ Maintain accurate records of support tickets, solutions, and procedures in the IT knowledge base.
+ Collaborate with team members to improve documentation and share knowledge.
Project & Process Support
+ Support IT projects to ensure smooth implementation and successful outcomes.
+ Identify recurring issues and suggest process improvements or training opportunities.
+ Align with ITIL standards for change, incident, and problem management.
Travel & Flexibility
+ Provide support across multiple locations, requiring regular day travel and occasional overnight travel.
+ Participate in after-hours support rotation as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements
+ Strong technical knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office suite, and common business applications.
+ Associate’s degree or higher in a technology-related field or equivalent work experience.
+ Understanding and alignment with Bell Core Values.
+ Proficiency in using IT service management tools, especially ServiceNow.
+ Understanding of ITIL principles and practices.
+ Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills in hardware and software, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively.
+ Exceptional customer service, documentation, and communication skills – ability to communicate and work across all levels of the organization, both written and oral .
+ Skilled in active listening and offering constructive advice, adept at collaborating with others.
+ Ability to self-manage and think outside the box . Flexible and able to work well under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
+ A team player with a positive “can do” attitude, willing to collaborate and share knowledge.
+ Capable of coordinating with teams to accomplish objectives and deliver results effectively.
+ Ability to work with externals partners , including vendors and consultants.
+ Preferred certifications: ITIL, CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), cybersecurity.
