Job Summary:
DT Professional Services is seeking an entry-level IT Technician to support our NSWC team in Corona, CA! You will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to our employees and clients, ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems, networks, and software. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT support, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service. There is an estimated 35%+ travel per year aboard U.S. Navy ships.

Responsibilities:

Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network issuesInstall, configure, and maintain computer systems and peripheralsTroubleshoot and resolve technical problems in a timely and efficient mannerPerform regular maintenance and updates on IT equipment and softwareAssist in the setup and deployment of new hardware and softwareManage user accounts, permissions, and access controls Monitor system performance and ensure optimal operationDocument and track support requests and resolutions using a ticketing systemProvide training and guidance to end-users on IT best practices and toolsCollaborate with other IT team members to develop and implement IT policies and proceduresStay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to provide innovative solutionsStrong interpersonal and communication skills

Basic Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in IT support or a similar technical roleActive DoD-issued Secret ClearanceCompTIA Security+ certification (required before hire)Ability to travel 35%+ annually (trips may last 1–4 weeks)Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders, kneeling, or maneuvering in confined spacesProficiency in Windows Server 2019, Windows 11, and Linux operating systemsStrong understanding of networking protocols and troubleshooting techniquesExperience with Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, and common business applicationsExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to explain technical procedures clearlyAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

2+ years of database, network administration, or system administration experienceExperience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-VKnowledge of cybersecurity best practices and toolsFamiliarity with cloud services such as AWS or AzureAbility to script and automate tasks using PowerShell or similar toolsAdditional certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, etc.Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field

The compensation range for this position: $33.24/hour
