This role is part of the Digital & Technology department of HEINEKEN International and specifically part of the D&T Procurement organisation. The Procurement Platform IT Technical Consultant is part of the IT Procurement Platform team and is one of the professionals who do the work of delivering a potentially releasable increment of the product at the end of each sprint. Teams within D&T Procurement are structured and empowered by the organisation to organise and manage their own work. The resulting synergy optimises the Team’s overall efficiency and effectiveness.

The Procurement Platform IT Technical Consultant supports Product Owners and customers in translating architecture and requirements into functional Procurement solutions and participates in the technical development of the product. Close collaboration with Product teams, incl. partners and OpCo’s is required to design, build and oversight initiatives in the procurement area.

Your responsibilities would include:

Working with the Product Owner and other key Global and other stakeholders to understand, elicit, analyse, document and communicate business, program and platform/application requirements Formulation of the architecture and design based on functional and non-functional requirements, balancing the goals and constraints on the solution, including overall architectural standards (Domain, Enterprise). Working with teams and stakeholders to deliver incremental product enhancements within the target timescales and quality standards that minimize rework and aspire a zero-defect culture Understanding business requirements and acceptance criteria in the form of user stories, assessing the complexity of these and translating into implementable solutions and configurations Design and development of solutions, as well as keeping oversight on developers (internal and external) to assure technical quality and overall HEINEKEN standards are met Demonstrating product features during sprint reviews to stakeholders Being self-organising with other team members. There is no separate management layer at Heineken, work is planned and executed by the team.

You are a good candidate if you have:

At least 5 years’ experience in IT with a similar scope of responsibilities Excellent English communication skills with the ability to communicate well with technical and non-technical people and identify and understand multiple stakeholders’ perspectives and “truths” Experience in delivering large-scale Procurement solutions and tools Experience in integrations between technologies Expert knowledge (senior level) of SAP and/ or other Procurement platforms (Zycus, Coupa etc).


Essential Skills and Requirements:

Ability to update and refresh systems and processes to ensure they remain current and effective Experience in upgrading middleware components to enhance system performance and capabilities Proficiency in automating integration testing to ensure seamless and efficient system operations Experience in Robotic Process Automation (RPA) orchestration to streamline and optimize business processes Strong understanding of network connectivity to ensure reliable and secure communication between systems Knowledge of managing digital certificates to ensure secure and trusted communications Understanding of landscape architecture to design and implement scalable and efficient IT environments Experience with AI technologies aimed at optimising business processes and reducing operational costs Experience in low-code platform implementation and coordination of incidents and changes through the Change Management process.
