The PositionSUMMARY
The IT Technical Consultant in our Digital Implementation team supports the early stage of implementing digital solutions at customer sites (hospitals and laboratories) across the nation. This position serves as the main responsible to build, install and configure our digital products in customer infrastructure, work with customer IT groups to ensure successful standard builds of servers and execute successful upgrades of our digital applications. While a majority of this work is performed remotely, this position may require 20% or greater travel to customer locations.
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides technical assessment of customer infrastructure provided by customers to install and upgrade Roche Digital solutions
Reviews customer site readiness plans and project scope, regarding IT server requirements
Confirm IT requirements for customer implementations which align with Roche policies and procedures; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Coordinates activities to ensure each project progresses on schedule while meeting all other specified project performance parameters
Manages customer installation expectations, identifies project risks, and formulates plans to minimize impacts to projects; escalates implementation issues as needed and manages critical customer situations
Works closely with and influences customer IT groups to support implementation, manage IT security requirements.
Partners with colleagues to create standard build of servers while complying with internal requirements; transitions work to Digital Solution Engineers focused on the configuration stage of implementation
May perform remote and/or on-site troubleshooting of Digital solutions, as needed
Actively participates in and conducts pre-implementation, implementation, and post-project review meetings for RDC customers and internal stakeholders
Serves as a technical resource for internal stakeholders on digital installations
Participates in onboarding training and mentoring activities based on area of expertise.
Provides feedback based on client experiences to product and professional services teams for product and process improvements.
Performs related administrative duties such as creating and submitting expense and status reports while adhering to regulatory requirements
Networks with senior internal and external personnel in area of expertise as well as some key contacts outside area of expertise
WHO YOU ARE
You are a mid-career professional that has knowledge and experience with server deployments and understanding of network configurations in a healthcare setting. You are approachable, skilled in communicating, influencing customers, and translating technical language. You are comfortable engaging in difficult conversations and are successful in finding resolutions. You seek and are comfortable with autonomy and have a continuous improvement mindset.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Medical Technology, Life Sciences and two years of laboratory IT, general IT, product line experience or 4 years equivalent experience (i.e. Software consulting, network administration, lab information systems, server and application deployments)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Able and willing to travel approximately 20% of the time; travel is variable based on customer needs
4 or more years of related experience in a healthcare setting
Technical skills in Microsoft Windows, IT Security, Networking, Intersystems products
Knowledge of the clinical customer base and critical components of an LIS and laboratory IT processes
Ability to troubleshoot complex problems, consult, and drive resolution
Effective communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with and translate requirements for both technical and non-technical groups
Analytical, logical problem resolution skills

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Indianapolis is $82,600.00 to $153,400.00. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
