By joining United Site Services, you will be part of an organization that values continuous improvement, teamwork, and excellence in every aspect of our business. **Primary Purpose** The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for the district-wide implementation, maintenance, and administration of all Microsoft USS data center and cloud assets. **Essential Functions** + Implement, install, configure, monitor, troubleshoot, and evaluate existing and new Microsoft Windows server operating systems + Responsible for leading software compliance in the data centers + Administers, configures, upgrades, and maintains Nutanix AHV, Veeam, Redhat, as well as a VMware / vSphere environment + Assist with corporate security initiatives in the Datacenter and cloud + Regularly confer with database programmers, analysts, other systems administrators, and users regarding current and prospective system changes and future needs + Provides support for Help Desk and Desktop teams with Datacenter related issues. + Direct the efforts of technicians involved in diagnosing and correcting system-related failures and performing system management activities + Work with IT leadership in developing logical solutions to complex system administration and application problems + Lead monthly patching on all Microsoft Servers; work with Intune, PDQ Deploy, PowerShell, etc. + Obtain change control for work done, and document in the corporate Wiki + Perform other duties as assigned **SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES** This position has no supervisory responsibilities. **Qualifications** **QUALIFICATIONS** **EDUCATION** **Min/Preferred Education Level Description** Preferred 2 Year / Associates Degree in computer science, management information systems, or a related field. **EXPERIENCE** **Minimum Years of Experience Maximum Years of Experience Comments** 3 of relevant experience with Microsoft Windows server operating systems, Active Directory, Group Policies, and TCP/IP networking or an equivalent combination of education and experience. **ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES** + Experience required in writing system documentation, system specifications/requirements, presentations, correspondence, studies, reports, and training materials + Demonstrated ability to properly develop and maintain accurate documentation + Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers served and systems administration staff + Ability to follow established policies and procedures + Ability to execute assignments as directed by the business and management + Experience in implementing high availability Microsoft Windows servers in a high-speed network and integrating workstations with Microsoft Windows servers preferred + Ability to work occasional nights and weekends as required + Ability to communicate professionally + Some Project Planning Experience + Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals + Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations **Physical Requirements** **Demand Frequency** Sit while answering phones or reply to emails Constant Use hands and fingers to handle, control or feel objects tools or controls Frequent Repeat the same movements when entering data Frequent See details of objects that are less than a few feet away Constant Speak clearly so listeners can understand Frequent Understand the speech of another person Frequent Focus on one source of sound and ignore others Frequent Hear sounds and recognize the difference between them Frequent See differences between colors, shades and brightness Frequent Lift and/or move up to 20 lbs Frequent Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs Occasional Lift and/or move up to 100 lbs with assistance Occasional Exposure to outside weather conditions, wet areas, airborne particles, and fumes of chemicals Occasional **Benefits Summary** **All full-time employees working an average of 30 hours or more per week are eligible for the following benefits:** + Holiday & Paid Time Off (pro-rated for Part-Time employees) + Medical/Pharmacy + Dental + Vision + Employer-Paid Short-Term Disability + Employer-Paid Employee Basic Life & Accidental Death and Dismemberment + Voluntary Employee Life & Accidental Death and Dismemberment + Voluntary Spousal Life + Voluntary Dependent Life + Hospital Indemnity, Accident and Critical Illness + Commuter/Transit Account + Healthcare Flexible Spending Account + Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account + Health Savings Account + 401(k) with employer match + Employer-Paid Employee Assistance Program (EAP) + Employee Discounts At United Site Services, our salary ranges reflect the minimum and maximum base pay for the posted position applicable to all locations across the US. Within the posted salary range, individual pay is determined by the geographic location, job related skills, experience, education, and certifications.
