Job Responsibilities:

Position Summary:  Ensure IT systems are operational and meets both company and customer expectations. Monitor and measure MSSC’s and Customer requirements, ensure requirements are met, and provide a continual improvement process, training, and work direction to IT department staff. Ensure the Business systems meet operational guidelines and ensure business impacts are minimized thru proper process and maintenance activities.  Coordinate system upgrades for software and hardware platforms, ensure best business practices, maintain business system process documentation, identify training requirements, and execute training as required. Provide support to all areas and be available to support to all levels of the manufacturing and business processes as required by the business and directed by the IT manager and upper management.  Responsible for ensuring that the customer, people, and investor goals are balanced and met.

Position Responsibilities:

Ensure a safe work environment and compliance with all EHS policies and procedures is sustained. Ensure conformance to IATF 16949 quality management standards is sustained.  Maintain process procedures and documentation as applicable.  Identify and implement changes to procedures as appropriate.Support site 24/7.Lead by example with all policies, procedures, Employee Charter, Operational Principles and Corporate Constitution.Lead daily activities of the IT department support staff.  Ensure effective utilization of the team.Monitor performance of employees and initiate accountability when expectations are not met.  Provide regular feedback to employees and conduct annual performance reviews for applicable personnel.Investigate and find resolution for employee concerns in a timely fashion.  Ensure resolution is fair and consistent and complies with Magna Charter & Principles.Champion continuous improvement and cost reduction efforts for the department.Liaise with other departments to identify, analyze and resolve IT related problems as well as analyze variances.Establish communication with all IT system support areas as well as business areas for troubleshooting and operational purposes.Lead and/or support projects independently and with little direction.  Utilize problem solving skills when facing obstacles.  Guide local IT on the implementation of global projects.Maintain functionality of MES system, track all changes and improvements performed (proper documentation and approvals required), and ensure changes are implemented efficiently and accurately. Translate business needs and requirements into MES technical configurations.Support, coordinate, and execute EDI activities. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve EDI issues within MSSC, suppliers, and customers.Ensure proper operations of the manufacturing system, LAN, WLAN, desktop computers, and shopfloor terminals.Administer and support Microsoft Windows Servers including clustering, Microsoft Windows clients, LAN, WAN, switches and routers.Administer virtual environment (VMware, Hyper V, etc).Troubleshoot plant’s local area network in a client server, TCP/IP environment, and OT Firewall.Maintain inventory of all IT equipment.Maintain, track, and document all IT helpdesk incidents and changes.Convey information to management regarding all consequential operational problems.Execute data and system file backups according to procedure.Interface and manage vendors that are providing services and products.Assist in budget development and monitoring expenses.Lead and/or support IT audits.  Includes managing evidence for SOX, TISAX, etc.Read, analyze, and interpret general, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.Translate business needs and requirements into SAP technical configurations.Ensure compliance with IT KPIs (security, attainment, availability, etc).Attend all monthly employee meetings.Complete all assigned trainings before established deadlines.Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related study or proven combination of education and work experience in lieu of degree.5+ years’ experience in Information Systems with an automotive manufacturing background.5+ years’ experience managing SAP environments in the automotive manufacturing environment.5+ years of manufacturing execution system experience.2+ years supervisory and project management experience required.Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form.Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.Creative problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.Good analytical skills.Able to support 24/7 operation.Willing and able to travel.Ability to confront issues and resolve conflict while demonstrating diplomacy and tactfulness and controlling emotions.Effective at managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines in a fast paced, dynamic, fluid environment.  Understands urgency and completes tasks timely, efficiently and accurately. Time management skills are essential.Creative problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.Good analytical skillsPossesses an in-depth knowledge of the majority and a working knowledge of the remainder of the following technical areas:

HARDWARE:

Supporting and troubleshooting Desktop Personal Computers and Laptops.Supporting, Managing and troubleshooting Barcode Printers, Network Printers, and document scanners.Hand-held devices; bar code scanners, RF tag-readers, card readers.Server administration includes clusters (VMware). and shared arrays.Cabling/Connectivity: Ethernet in twisted pair, fibro, and wireless environments.

SOFTWARE

Basic Understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. Examples: SAP

Operating Systems. Examples: Windows 10, 11, Windows Server 2019, 2022, etc.

M.E.S (Manufacturing Execution System).SQL Server Management Studio - Experience with querying, reporting, and stored procedures.VMware / Hyper V.Microsoft solutions (Active Roles, Intune, etc.).

TELECOMMUNICATION & OTHER:

Internet Protocol based.Bar coding, Radio Frequency (RF) tracking. Examples: Intermec, Teklogix, Symbol.Basic understanding of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI). Example : ANSI X.12, UN/EDIFACT.

SECURITY:

Physical Security - Access Control and Camara systems administration (Security Zones concept).Network Security – Firewalls, VLANS, VPN, and Encryption.System Security – Antivirus, Malware, Compliance monitoring software.Providing support for Information Security Audits and Customs Audits.Providing support in the process of establishing location-specific security guidelines and instructions.Participation in the Emergency and Crisis Management Program at the respective location /execution Magna Intl. Crisis Management Plan.

Preferred Skills and Experience :

Experience in multisite or enterprise-level environments.Knowledge of ITIL practices and service management frameworks.Certifications including CompTIA Network+, Security+, Microsoft Certified (MCSA/MCSE), Cisco (CCNA/CCNP).Knowledge of Information Security Frameworks – specifically TISAX.Experience with cybersecurity tools and practices.Project management experience or certification such as PMP or Agile.Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.

Knowledge of endpoint management tools such as SCCM or Intune.
