Job Description The IT Software License Specialist is a part of the Software Asset Management team under Enterprise Architecture, and their role is to assist managing and optimizing software licensing. They will help ensure compliance with licensing agreements, minimize costs, support license procurement and planning. 40%  Software Analysis & Cost Optimization- Generate and analyze usage data to identify underused or redundant licenses; Recommend cost-saving opportunities (e.g., license pooling, downgrades) and create reclamation tickets as needed; Support budgeting and forecasting for software spend 25%  License Governance & Compliance- Support software licenses tracking across departments and systems; Maintain accurate records of license entitlements and usage; Prepare for and support internal and external software audits 20%  Systems & Tools Administration- Use Software Asset Management (SAM) tools (ServiceNow); Integrate license data with IT asset management systems; Support administration of vendor software portals.
