Detailed Job Description:

5+ years of hands-on data modeling and architecture experience in an agile-driven SDLC 3+ years analysis and/or modeling in business models focused on Supply Chain, Inventory and Manufacturing 3+ years using a dedicated data modeling tool such as Erwin, Data Architect or Hackolade 1+ years developing models for non-traditional data platforms (DynamoDB, JSON, OpenAPI, Snowflake, MongoDB, etc.) Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience Proven track record of being self-directed, results orientated with demonstrated ability to achieve aggressive goals despite ambiguity and multiple priorities Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both technical and business-facing Ability to define solution options, provide estimates on effort and risk, and evaluate technical feasibility Experience with Agile: Scrum, Kanban, etc.

Job Responsibilities:

Understand and translate business needs into data models supporting long - term solutions. Work with the Application Development team to implement data strategies, build data flows and develop conceptual data models. Create logical and physical data models using best practices to ensure high data quality and reduced redundancy. Develop scalable designs that capture potential variations in business models Maintain conceptual, logical and physical data models along with corresponding metadata. Develop best practices for standard naming conventions and coding practices to ensure consistency of data models. Develop data models that serve both normalized/transactional, as well as denormalized/analytic solutions Lead data definition and term alignment work with business partners Recommend opportunities for reuse of data models in new environments. Perform reverse engineering of physical data models from databases and SQL scripts. Evaluate data models and physical databases for variances and discrepancies. Validate and test data models using sample business data and use cases to assess requirement compliance. Develop data models according to company standards.
