IT Senior Engineering Manager

The Own PDO concentrates on Treating Customers Like Family, specifically in the Ownership lifecycle in the relationship with Ford and Lincoln globally.  Making sure the customer can be serviced from initial onboarding, through learning about their vehicle, to maintenance, to services to enhance their ownership – the web channel is highly utilized to serve customers globally both on web and utilizing webviews in the mobile apps (FordPass & LincolnWay). 

The IT Senior Engineering Manager leads products to build experiences for Owners working with interactions and integrations across the enterprise.  This is a global responsibility, providing the IT point of view on the proposed business requirements to integrate into the existing product portfolios.  You will need to understand architecture, technology, and implementation strategies to optimize the experience and the efficiencies across the enterprise.   In addition, you will be hands on in this leadership role, working with the team and Product Owner and stakeholders – this is not just a role of pure delegation. You will analyze impact of change on KPI’s and interactions with the customer to further provide Business Value.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field or a combination of education and equivalent work experience 

5 + years of experience of IT development, preferably with front-end technologies (NextJS, REACT, Angular or similar)

3 + years in a leadership role on an Agile software development team.

1 + years of experience with Micro-front-end technology and AEM Cloud as a tech leader

1 + years of experience with DORA / DevLake / SRE / Dynatrace & Lighthouse performance standards

Even better, you may have...

Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field

Expertise in NextJS, REACT and Angular.

Business acumen in multiple business domains - including Marketing and Sales.

Understanding of multiple architectures, applications and enablers in the Ford environment

Demonstrated ability to coordinate and establish trust and positive relationships across teams

Strong interpersonal skills and negotiation skills

Excellent organization skills to support working in a dynamic and fast paced environment

Ability to perform tasks under pressure

Ability to “talk tech” and then explain tech concepts to leadership in IT and business

Global initiative leveraging enterprise solutions across M&S, FCSD, GDIA, Enterprise Connectivity

Budgetary responsibility around $2M.

Drive delivery via the Product Driven Organization and be a servant leader to enable the product team to run at speed, clearing blockers, enabling the team and leading overall strategy.
