Locations: East Berlin, Connecticut

Role and Scope of Position:
Design and implement new systems and features, as well as modify and maintain existing systems for adaptation to business and/or technology changes. Engages directly with IT management, development teams, technical delivery teams, and vendors to ensure the successful design, development, and delivery of technology-based solutions.

Drive the software change and release management processes, assisting with the overall maturity of the software development lifecycle. Work independently with little supervision. Ensure that software deliverables comply with quality standards and are completed on time.

This is a hybrid role. The first three months are fulltime in the office.

Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:

Preferred Technical Knowledge/Skills:

Advanced or higher skills in the following:SQLC# / .NETAngularAzure Devops, including CI/CD practices and working with pipeline releasesTDD / SOLID principles, creation of unit-testable code, and use of code coverage metricsIntermediate or higher skills in the following:Powershell: Able to create / modify basic Powershell scripts to support tooling for local developmentPostman: Able to create / modify postman scripts including tests for happy / unhappy pathsAzure: Understanding of Azure components that relate to the ecosystem - VNets / Data Factory, SQL PAAS objects, Azure Active Directory basics, Application Insights / Log Analytics / KQLAgile / Scrum: Familiarity with Agile practices, and how to “shift left” with development to testing to ensure effective use of capacity at the beginning of a SprintNodeJSBasic or higher skills in the following:Docker: Able to perform basic docker operations and create / amend build filesKubernetes: Basic understanding of how Kubernetes orchestrates containers and able to write / amend yaml filesAutomation: Understanding of browser-based automation test toolingLinux: Basic Linux command line operations

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experienceAdvanced Degree in a related field is a plus

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of related experience(Strongly preferred) experience developing with Agile and DevOps methodologies.(Strongly preferred) experience working with Azure Cloud repos, pipelines, and release management processes.Ideal candidates would have strong working knowledge of the utility industry, particularly gas supply management processes.Requires advanced to expert knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have broad knowledge of project management. Works to influence parties within and outside of the job function at an operational level regarding policies, procedures, and practices.Substantial knowledge of ES projects, programs, or systems in order to provide enhancements within job area is a plus.

Licenses & Certifications:

Relevant industry standard certifications are a plusAZ-900 (Azure Fundamentals) preferred but not required

$123,640.00-$137,380.00.

Working Conditions:

Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
