Who we are
By joining our project, you will be working on an initiative of the European Commission focused on creating a more efficient, modern and secure customs environment within the European Union. Being part of this initiative set on a 5 years’ timeline, you will have the opportunity to work on topics such as digitalization of customs processes, streamlining customs procedures to facilitate trade and reduce costs, harmonization of customs rules across all EU member states and combating fraud.
This purposeful project will not only give you the opportunity to have an impact on one of the key topics within the European Union, it will also offer you various professional opportunities, let you experience a collaborative environment, using cutting-edge technologies and experiencing diversity in your everyday professional life.
What you'll be doing
Developing, implementing, and maintaining security policies, protocols, and proceduresEnsuring that security policies are aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirementsConducting regular reviews and updates of security policies to address emerging threats and vulnerabilitiesCollaborating with department managers to determine security needs and implement appropriate measuresMonitoring security systems and networks for potential threats and vulnerabilitiesImplementing and manage security monitoring tools and technologiesLeading the response to security incidents, including investigation, mitigation, and reportingConducting root cause analysis and implement measures to prevent future incidentsDeveloping and maintaining comprehensive business continuity plans to ensure the organization can continue operations during and after a disruptionConducting risk assessments and business impact analyses to identify critical processes and resourcesCoordinating regular testing and drills of business continuity plans to ensure effectivenessCollaborating with various departments to ensure business continuity plans are integrated and effectiveDeveloping and implementing disaster recovery plans for IT systems and infrastructureEnsuring regular backups and recovery tests are conducted to ensure data integrity and availabilityCoordinating with IT teams to ensure disaster recovery plans are aligned with business continuity plansEnsuring compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and organizational policiesConducting regular security audits and vulnerability assessmentsPreparing and present reports on security and business continuity activities to senior managementDeveloping and delivering training programs to ensure staff are aware of their roles and responsibilities in maintaining security and business continuityPromoting a culture of security awareness and resilience within the organization
What you'll bring along
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field is preferedMinimum 5-10 years of experience in a similar roleStrong understanding of security technologies and best practicesExperience with security monitoring tools and incident responseKnowledge of business continuity and disaster recovery planningExperience in conducting risk assessments and developing mitigation strategiesKnowledge of risk management frameworks and methodologiesUnderstanding of relevant regulations and industry standards related to security and business continuityExperience with security audits and compliance assessments Strong leadership and team management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholdersCertifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), or similar are a big plusExcellent command of both spoken and written English Document .style{ width:930px;padding:15px;}.font-text{ font-family: customfaa3f6eee6874329a13ae; font-size: 16px; font-type:ttf; font-style: Medium;}
