Ashley Furniture - Security Engineer 

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Security Engineer to join our IT team at Ashley Furniture. As a Security Engineer, you will play a critical role in protecting our sensitive data and systems from internal and external threats. Your expertise in implementing and maintaining security measures will be essential in ensuring a secure and reliable technology environment for our organization.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures to safeguard Ashley Furniture's IT infrastructure.
- Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Implement and manage security information and event management (SIEM) systems to monitor and analyze security events.
- Respond to security incidents swiftly and efficiently, following established incident response protocols.
- Collaborate with IT operations and development teams to integrate security best practices into systems and applications.
- Stay abreast of emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices to proactively enhance security posture.
- Provide technical guidance and support to IT staff on security-related matters.
- Participate in security audits and compliance reviews.

Technical Requirements

- Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and security concepts (firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems).
- Hands-on experience with security tools and technologies, including SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and endpoint security solutions.
- Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and cloud security principles.
- Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) and compliance requirements (PCI DSS, GDPR).

Education and Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- 3+ years of proven experience as a Security Engineer or in a similar role.
- Relevant industry certifications (CISSP, CISM, Security+) are highly desirable.
