The IT Platform Security team is part of Technology & Platform Engineering.

 

Our team:

• Engineers advanced solutions to secure the infrastructure & applications of PMI

• Delivers platforms & tools to enable InfoSec and other IT teams to rapidly detect, analyse and respond to threats to PMI as we transform to a consumer centric organization

 

What’s the purpose of this role?

 

The purpose of the IT Security Engineer is to actively act on the first line of Defense for the Company IT Security by following and encouraging others to follow good security practices. It also about active contribution to security process improvements and contribution into implementation of such improvements.

While acting in the role of IT Security Engineer you will be able to create broad network of peers from various platforms who will act together with you ensuring that proper security standards and practices are followed.

You will have the opportunity to raise security awareness across Technology & Platform Engineering (T&PE) platform. As a key partner for Information Security (2nd support line), you will work with the team to ensure market standards, techniques and methodologies are followed.

While we see this role expanding within the function and company, in general, we’re looking for a clear willingness to learn new processes and technologies from day one that will be critical as we seek to remain agile and innovative.

 

Your day-to-day

 

You will lead by example ensuring that the team and partners can leverage on your knowledge and experience. You will coordinate implementation of new global security changes. You will monitor if global IT security standards, policies, guidelines, and procedures are followedBe responsible for complex engineering and/or analytical tasks and activities associated with one or more technical areas within the Security Engineering team. You will have an opportunity to use moder GEN AI capabilities such as LLM or AI Agents to further improve work resultsEnsure that the operational procedures are meeting agreed security standards, where required you will lead to ensure necessary updates are madeLead the cross functional governance process to keep standards and measures are updated and followed (introducing proper reports, dashboards, KPIs etc.)Work with the partners across the platforms on developing new processes, updating standards, and intruding new KPIsLead PoC for security solutions/tools ensuring standards are meet and best proposal is picked for the organizationDrive Continuous Service Improvement to ensure high standards and follow best practicesAssist in the process automation to ensure process consistency and results for all type of sub-platforms: Cloud, SDI, On-premManage the product backlog, maintaining the prioritization of activities to maximize value for stakeholdersParticipate in all technical aspects of delivering complex automated solutions on the various platforms, federated with multiple sources, and advising customers on best practice to increase company security postureMaintain dashboards and reports to monitor security scores and work with the team to coordinate required updatesAssist in responding to Layer 7 / DDoS attacks and monitoring alerts

 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 

• A person with Bachelor or Masters’ degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience

• Candidate with 5+ years of experience in IT Security Engineering for Cloud (AWS, AZURE), On-Prem (including SDI) and mobile devices

• Domain Management and DNS Security expert

• Security processes (EASM External Attack Surface Management)

• Strong understanding of web security and WAF rule sets

• Networking including Next Generation Firewall PaloAlto as well as SASE PRISMA

• Experience with tools like: Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Nexthink or MDM

• Proven track records for Continual Service Improvement as well as setting new processes and standards

• Good communication skills with fluent written and spoken English

• Good leadership skills used while leading some initiatives will be an asset added values:

• Active Directory, Multi-Factor authentication

• Understanding, Virtualization Technologies (VMWare, HyperV, AWS EC2)

• Knowledge on SIEM e.g. Microsoft Sentinel is a plus

• Atlassian Suite (Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence)

• Agile methods and processes (e.g.: Scrum, SAFe, DevOps), ITIL principles and processes
