IT Quality Assurance Engineer

Working in IT at Kuehne+Nagel contributes to more than we imagine. **‎** As a Technical Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer working alongside Solution Architects, System Engineers, and other technical stakeholders, you will ensure that all artefacts implemented to meet customer requirements are technically compliant with defined standards and guidelines. Leveraging your knowledge and experience, you will identify risks and impediments that could compromise the technical integrity of the implementation or negatively impact customer operations. **How you create impact** + Review submitted Pull Requests (PRs) and associated artefacts against defined KN guidelines and validation rules. + Ensure PR artefacts avoid known operational issues and do not compromise the KN SwiftLOG release upgrade path. + Validate that all aspects of the defined QA “Definition of Done” are completed, including evidence of testing that meets requirements, acceptance criteria, and test cases/steps. + Confirm that PR merges are appropriate for the target Gitflow branch (e.g., feature → develop, bugfix → release). + Validate the integrity of Gitflow branch activities to ensure they do not negatively impact deployment mechanisms or pipelines. + Ensure code merged into Gitflow branches results in stable deployments to relevant lower environments (Development/Integration). + Check for idempotency in delivered artefacts, especially those installed via post-install scripts (e.g., table/index DDL). + Use your knowledge of the Blue Yonder technical stack and other programming languages to identify issues in individual components (e.g., Java-based MOCA commands referencing non-existent classes, embedded spaces in MOCA names). + Prevent RPM artefact ownership conflicts by identifying and enforcing appropriate preventative measures. **What we would like you to bring** + Background in software houses, consultancies, or project delivery environments. + Strong written and verbal communication skills. + Ability to articulate technical issues, rationale, and solutions to stakeholders at all levels. + Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify dependencies, conflicts, and their broader implications. + Proven problem-solving skills with experience resolving complex technical issues. + Good knowledge of PL/SQL or SQL, scripting languages, and Unix shell. + Solid understanding of Gitflow branching, source code management, and deployment pipelines. + Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. + Strong time management skills and ability to self-manage deliverables and deadlines. + Positive attitude and strong commitment to delivering high-quality work. + Fluent English **What's in it for you** Join Kuehne+Nagel, where your work will have a meaningful impact on the logistics industry.
