IT Quality Analyst (Regression Tester)

Our work depends on a Regression Tester joining our team to support New York State Department of Heath Medicaid Management Information System activities at Riverview Center in Menands, NY. As a Regression Tester supporting the eMedNY Production Regression Team, you will be trusted to examine and review daily regression results and re-baseline or determine if an issue exists.

HOW AN IT QUALITY ANALYST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Review System Integration Testing folders and plans to determine the possibility of adding test cases to the Quality Assurance Regression (QAR) baselineAdd claim 837 (I, D and P) test cases to QAR Regression baseline and become familiar with operational aspects of the QAR Regression Test labRun and monitor test cases when appropriateRun appropriate DB2 SQLs to get new data for test cases as requiredReview Daily Regression runs and re-baseline failures due to data aging or valid code changesReview weekly cycle results and analyze and compare results from previous week cycle executionAdd and adjust changes to specifications which includes system parameters and systems listsMaintain Artifacts/documents Version control using GitLab

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, or a related disciplineREQUIRED EXPERIENCE: 2+ years of Quality Assurance or Information Technology experience and 2+ years of experience with Medicaid/Healthcare claim transactions with an understanding of regression testing methodologyREQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:837 (I, P and D) Medical Claims testing experienceKnowledge of X12Experience writing SQL Queries and understanding DB2 table relationshipsREQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Experience with healthcare claims of all types; including 837 (I, D and P) transactionsMust be able to identify and learn new technologies quicklyExcellent written, verbal and presentation skillsStrong organization and time management skills while working in a rapid software development environmentPREFERRED SKILLS:Experience with healthcare claims terminology and the health industryExperience writing SQL Queries.Knowledge of New York State Medicaid proceduresKnowledge of HIPPA X12 Version 5010 is preferred.

The likely salary range for this position is $62,962 - $74,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
