The IT Project Tech Lead is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business.
Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others.
In this role the successful candidate will act as a servant leader liaising with the key stakeholders in product, technology delivery and governance to create and maintain the owned Book Of Work in our BOW Management tool (PTS) in all of its aspects (artifacts, RAG, status, milestones, risks/issues, dependencies, OKRs etc) in compliance with our Program and Project Management procedures, the Core Accounts Agile Operating Model and the policies of the Bank.
The role is not intended as a traditional Project Manager but rather as a professional that is able to put together Project Management skills required by our policy and the SAFe principles.
The candidate must be able to work with the delivery Scum or Kanban teams, understanding the backlogs and the OKRs defined in Big Picture and Jira and maintain the BOW management system consistently aligned and compliant with policy.
An understanding of the supported businesses and some project financials skills are also required.
The role is part of the Core Accounts Technology Governance team.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Create the Book Of Work for the supported ARTs in PTS and maintain it in compliance with the policy along its whole life cycle
+ Attend the key ceremonies of the supported ARTs
+ Interact and give updates to senior technology and product stakeholders where required
+ Define and implement the strategy to track the progress of owned Book Of Work
+ Maintain programs, projects, sprints, objectives and milestones
+ Monitor and review the RAG, status, risk and issues (including financial risks and issues), dependencies etc
+ Manage and assign the resources to projects as per the agreed capacity
+ Interfaces with senior project staff and client senior management teams regarding status of projects.
+ Recommends and oversees process improvements.
+ Provides expertise in area and an advanced level of understanding of the principles of IT project leadership.
+ Possesses a comprehensive understanding of how own area and others (i.e., architecture or infrastructure) collectively integrate to contribute towards achieving business objectives.
+ Provides in-depth and sophisticated analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems and develop innovative solutions.
+ Persuades and influences others through and comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills.
+ Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
**Qualifications:**
+ 6-10 years experience in a related technology role and subject matter expert in overall field
**Education:**
+ Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree

+ SAFe
