IT Project Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Project Manager to lead the implementation of a Warehouse Management System (WMS) across our distribution network. This role will be responsible for managing all phases of the project lifecycle—from planning and design through execution, testing, and go-live—ensuring alignment with business goals, technical requirements, and operational excellence. This role will also drive solution adoption by leveraging key change management, communication and stakeholder management principles. 

Let’s talk about Responsibilities   

Project Leadership: Own the end-to-end delivery of the WMS implementation project, including scope, schedule, budget, and quality.Work with business owners and stakeholders to define project scope and deliverables, assign responsibilities, identify appropriate resources for execution, and develop milestones to ensure timely completion of results. 

Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, Operations, Supply Chain, and external vendors to ensure successful project outcomes. To actively engage, inform, and influence stakeholders across the business. The role requires the ability to build highly effective, cross-functional working relationships with diverse partners in operations, finance and commercial teams.  Build trust through collaboration, performance and productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.   

Technical Oversight: Translate business requirements into technical specifications; oversee system configuration, integration, and data migration activities.  

Risk & Issue Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies; resolve issues promptly to minimize project impact. 

Change Management: Support organizational change efforts, including training, documentation, and communication plans. Be a key champion for change; oversee change management needs required by projects & initiatives  

Performance Tracking: Monitor project KPIs and provide regular updates to leadership and stakeholders. 

Compliance & Standards: Ensure the solution adheres to internal standards, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements. 

Presentation Skills: Demonstrated ability to communicate complex project information clearly and persuasively to audiences at all organizational levels, including senior leadership, mid-management, and frontline stakeholders. Skilled in tailoring messaging and presentation style to suit the needs and expectations of diverse leadership groups, ensuring alignment, buy-in, and informed decision-making at each phase of the project. Comfortable facilitating executive briefings, leading cross-functional workshops, and presenting business cases or project updates in both formal and informal settings.

Let’s talk about Qualifications and Experience  

5+ years of experience in technical project management, with at least 2 years in WMS or supply chain systems implementation. 

Strong project management, business process design and facilitation skills. 

Experience in all phases of project cycle interfacing both with technical teams as well as multiple lines of the business users. 

Strong understanding of warehouse operations, logistics, and inventory management. 

Proven experience managing stakeholder expectations and managing cross-functional teams. 

Strong familiarity with software development methodologies and change management process. 

Familiarity with Agile methodology is a plus. 

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills.  

Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. 

Outstanding time management and organization. 

Adept in conflict resolution 

Able to manage internal customer relationships and expectations. 

Ability to understand technical vision and communicate it to both technical and non-technical parties.  

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 

Ability to navigate and deliver through a complex change environment and with culturally different teams  

Facilitating and navigating through potential roadblocks and barriers, being creative and “thinking outside the box” for new solutions.  

Balancing the need to deliver short term results with the need to create the conditions for sustainable long-term solutions
