Summary of Role:
Fast-growing IT Project Management Office (PMO) group at GlobalFoundries seeks a personable and highly motivated Program Manager (PM) to support a major technology transformation program in day-to-day project management tasks and activities. Essential Responsibilities:
Lead all aspects of multi-phase transition program.Oversee program/ project timelines, deliverables, and internal/external project resourcesOutlining, defining, and initiating the project.Implementing document control policies and documentation templates.Maintaining a good working knowledge of assigned component projects.Evaluating standards of component products.Monitoring project progress and implementing changes where necessary.Provide consistent and clear communication between all project stakeholders and report on progress to the Executive Steering CommitteeEnsuring compliance with objectives, organizational policies, procedures, and standards.Compiling project reports and informing management regarding problems.Ensuring project complies with best practices, SOPs, PMO policies, and other policies.Other Responsibilities:
Must be comfortable in matrix management environments and work effectively with others in managing complex projects and proven track record of successfully leading teams of consultants through entire project life cycle processAbility to work independently and manage multiple task assignmentsStrong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS PowerPoint)Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgmentMust be comfortable in matrix management environments and work effectively with others in managing complex projects and proven track record of successfully leading teams of consultants through entire project life cycle processRequired Qualifications:
Education – Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Program Management, or related discipline is required.Project Management Professional (PMP) certification7 + years’ experience in program/ project management with a strong track record for on-time and on-budget performance while leading large, complex programs7+ years' experience in information systems operations environment in systems analysis or developmentAdvanced knowledge of software development lifecycleDemonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completionDemonstrated effective leadership and analytical skillsAdvanced written and verbal communication skills are a mustTravel - Up to 10%Fluency in English Language – written & verbalPreferred Qualifications:
Agile Scrum Master is preferred (CSM).Master's DegreeAbility to work independently and manage multiple task assignmentsStrong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS PowerPoint)Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgmentMust be comfortable in matrix management environments and work effectively with others in managing complex projects and proven track record of successfully leading teams of consultants through entire project life cycle processExpected Salary Range
$92,500.00 - $167,000.00The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
