The Plant Systems / IT Specialist is a critical role responsible for bridging the gap between plant floor Operational Technology (OT) and enterprise-level Information Technology (IT).
This position will lead plant systems integration projects, provide hands-on IT support, and act as the primary technology subject matter expert for the site. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and reliable performance of all plant systems, from manufacturing execution systems (MES) to end-user devices and network infrastructure while following Colgate Standards including Safety, Sustainability, Performance, Reliability, Finance, Security and Risk Management.
**What you'll do**
+ Serve as the main link between plant leadership and Global IT, aligning site needs with "Smart Factory" and global IT initiatives.
+ Provide project, strategy, and system updates in local plant meetings and foster strong relationships across site and global teams.
+ Lead and execute plant system (OT) projects such as Wonderware and SAP, offering technical expertise and troubleshooting support.
+ Train operations staff on manufacturing systems to enhance utilization and proficiency.
+ Support and maintain IT infrastructure, managing equipment lifecycle and providing advanced end-user support.
+ Perform system administration, ensure policy compliance, and assist with IT onboarding, including digital communication system upkeep.
+ Manage projects to drive continuous improvement, automation, and cost savings, sharing best practices globally and maintaining standards.
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree (preferred majors in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or Business)
+ 3+ years related work experience
+ Technical experience working in an IT or OT support environment.
+ Knowledge of manufacturing operations and core processes.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Skilled in IT/OT network design, control systems, and programming languages.
+ Proficient with Microsoft SQL databases and Google Suite (Email, Docs, Sheets, Slides).
+ Experienced in supporting A/V and video conferencing equipment.
+ Demonstrated success in project management.
+ Knowledgeable in Operational Excellence standards and plant metrics.
**Compensation and Benefits**
Salary Range $74,500.00 - $115,000.00 USD
Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.
Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
