Design, execute, and analyze performance tests for enterprise applications, systems, and networks to meet business and customer expectations.
Job Requirements:
Application performance engineering experience (monitoring, testing, debugging, diagnosing)
Experience with troubleshooting compute device performance (Windows, Linux)
Experience with troubleshooting complex network devices (firewalls, load-balancers, routers, switches)
Experience writing and debugging scripting languages (Python, Perl, PowerShell)
Experience with IT capacity and performance analysis (compute, server, file storage, network)
Experience with Agile methodologies and working within Agile teams
Proven ability to lead technical projects and meet schedule and cost objectives
Must be adaptable to changing priorities and requirements
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Preference for candidates within 50 miles of a major Lockheed Martin facility
Preferred Skills:
Experience with tools such as ExtraHop, CA Performance Centre, CA Spectrum, LoadRunner, Splunk, SiteScope, Perfmon, Wireshark, Java profilers
Experience administering or troubleshooting WebLogic, Apache, JBoss, or other containers
Experience troubleshooting J2EE and Java Virtual Machine (JVM) tools (jps, jcmd, jstat, jmap, etc.)
Familiarity with Lockheed Martin enterprise IT infrastructure
Job Responsibilities:
Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) for target applications and services
Define application dependencies and interface relationships
Develop performance requirements aligned with current and future business needs
Design and implement appropriate performance tests and validation strategies
Select tools and methodologies to ensure adequate performance testing
Provide in-depth analysis of performance impacts from architectural decisions
Collaborate with architecture teams to propose optimized, cost-effective solutions
Analyze logs, metrics, and telemetry data to diagnose system or network performance issues
Track, document, and resolve anomalies through continuous improvement practices
Pay Details: $55.00 to $70.00 per hour
