Job Title: IT Operations Support Specialist
Location: Jonesborough, TN
Compensation: $24/hour
Hours: M-F, 8-5 Position Overview
We are seeking an IT Operations Support Specialist to provide hands-on support for IT systems in a manufacturing environment. The selected individual will work under the guidance of an on-site lead and receive tasks via a service queue system. This is a practical, support-based role where IT experience and the willingness to learn are prioritized over formal education or certifications.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide system operational support to ensure effectiveness, efficiency, accuracy, and availability of systems for end users
Perform routine maintenance, updates, and system upgrades
Troubleshoot and resolve IT-related issues on the shop floor and in office environments
Support system disaster recovery efforts
Set up and configure new employee technology (computers, tablets, system access)
Work with various devices including computers, handhelds, and tablets
Support and troubleshoot wireless networking and MDOS systems
Monitor and maintain system performance
Perform root cause analysis and implement solutions to avoid repeat issues
Coordinate with the on-site lead for task prioritization and response via service queue
Required QualificationsPrior experience in IT support, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Basic understanding of networking, wireless connectivity, and device troubleshooting
Familiarity with shop floor IT systems and support practices (MDOS experience is a plus)
Ability to work with minimal supervision and follow direction from on-site lead
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude
Certifications are not required; IT experience is more heavily weighted
