IT Operations Engineer
We are seeking an experienced IT Operations Engineer based in Japan to provide senior-level technical support, manage asset inventory, and handle regional IT operations. This role serves as an escalation point for L1 and L2 support, manages IT asset procurement and lifecycle in Japan, and supports onboarding/offboarding activities locally. It also contributes to IT process improvements, project participation, and mentoring junior engineers.What You Will DoAct as a point of escalation for IC1 and IC2 engineers.Provide end-to-end IT support for end users, including executives.Manage Japan-specific IT asset lifecycle:Maintain accurate inventory recordRaise purchase orders and coordinate asset deliveriesTrack and reconcile asset transfers (TRs)Handle onboarding/offboarding tasks in Japan (device setup, returns, account setup/closure).Ensure compliance with global IT standards, policies, and documentation.Contribute to incident, problem, and change management processes.Participate in projects and process improvements related to IT service delivery.Handle onsite IT disposal in compliance with company policy and local regulationsMonitor and ensure adherence to SLAsWhat You Will BringMinimum 4 years of experience in IT support or service desk rolesHands-on experience with device imaging, building, troubleshooting, and user account managementExperience managing IT inventory and coordinating with vendorsKnowledge of ITSM tools (e.g., Freshservice, ServiceNow, Jira)ITIL v4 Foundation certification preferredStrong communication and customer service skills (in Japanese and English)Detail-oriented, proactive, and organized Knowledge of M365, Outlook, Windows/Mac support, Azure AD, VPNs, and basic networkingFamiliarity with IT asset managementProblem-solving mindset with strong accountability and documentation habits#AB1#LI-Remote#B2
