Overview Job Description Job title Country IT Manager (DUTCH CARIBBEAN) Business area (e.g. Group, Division, Function) Information Technology Reports to (Job Title) Direct: Head of IT – LATAM & Caribbean Dotted Line: Dutch Caribbean Managing Director Location Willemstad, Curaçao —with regular travel to Aruba, Bonaire and Saint Marteen Overall Job Purpose The Country IT Manager (DUTCH CARIBBEAN) will be the single face of IT for our Dutch-Caribbean business, turning local operational needs into world-class, group-aligned solutions. Building on deep station-level experience, you’ll steer the full technology agenda—from service delivery and cyber-security to transformative digital projects—while championing global standards and driving tangible business value. In addition to the above the Country IT Coordinator is also expected to work closely with the Cluster and Global IT teams to ensure the smooth running of the Country/Cluster/Global technology platforms and applications. Clear communication to stakeholders is essential within the role and all members of the IT Team must be kept up to date with the overall strategy direction that Swissport is following ensuring that project deadlines and wider technology SLA’s are met. A focus on cyber security is also essential given GDPR and NIST activities will be paramount in delivering to appropriate guidelines and regulations. You will also be expected to ensure that the budgets are managed effectively throughout the year and all spend within them is essential to the running of Swissport Dutch Caribbean Key Accountabilities Change & Stakeholder Management · Lead the cultural shift from legacy local solutions to global platforms; coach and mentor site teams; maintain C-level relationships with Managing Directors, CFOs and external partners across Dutch Caribbean stations; Service Delivery & Escalation · Own the full IT service stack (infrastructure, apps, networks, telecoms), drive on-site field support and be first point of escalation when SLAs are at risk; · Maintain 24/7 stability of mission-critical airport systems; coordinate on-call rotas and continuity testing; proactively improve reliability vs. cost. · Ensure the Service Desk is always managed in an effective and efficient way ensuring that both internal and external SLA’s are met as per business requirements · Maintain Swissport software licensing position as legal in all respects · Occasional on call/out of hour’s responsibilities to support urgent incidents, project implementations or upgrades of core equipment. · Be active in the management of the WAN and LAN infrastructure working with suppliers and the IT team to ensure optimum performance is maintained and security is not compromised at any time. Manage and Support Information technology and computer systems Plan, organise, direct, control and evaluate the operations of all IT infrastructure including IT assets and both local and wide area networks Implement policies and procedures for data processing that ensures that all Swissport infrastructure assets are maintained in a safe and secure manner Support Local IT Applications, providing support to end-users and being the 1st/2nd level of Application Support and interfacing with application vendor support (3rd level) or Datacenter/Cloud vendor providers when required; Manage the smartphone and tablet devices in use within Swissport to an appropriate secure level ensuring data costs are always managed to a minimum level Project Portfolio and Global/Regional Collaboration · Define, prioritise and deliver the regional project roadmap—e.g., passenger-processing refresh, digital-workplace rollout, cyber-resilience improvements—in partnership with Cluster and Global IT; · Keep Project Portfolio updated and Reports Project Status update monthly; · Represent the Dutch-Caribbean region in global IT workgroups, sharing best practices and influencing future roadmap decisions. Governance & Compliance · Ensure Swissport infrastructure assets are always protected working in partnership with the CISO following all Swissport policies in this area and highlighting any breaches of security immediately. · Ensure the infrastructure assets and applications are always patched to the latest operating system levels in line with Swissport policies Ensure strict adherence to corporate ITSM, security (NIST/GDPR), enterprise-architecture and QHSE policies; report metrics to global IT and local leadership. Budget and Vendor Management · Control Country IT budgets, renew & rationalise contracts, and migrate suppliers to global frameworks to optimise cost and quality. · Maintain good relationships with all Swissport suppliers reporting both under and exceptional performance to the Head of IT LATAM & Caribbean, Country Procurement Manager and Vendor Support Manager; Person specification Core skills & competencies Makes customers and their needs a primary focus of one’s actions; developing and sustaining productive customer relationships; +5 years of experience supporting desktop, laptop, Mobile Device technical issues; Solid Experience supporting IT operations or service delivery within aviation, logistics or other 24/7 regulated environments; proven growth from local coordinator/lead roles; Solid grasp of LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, cloud, cyber-security and modern workplace tech; airport-specific systems (CUTE, DCS, baggage, X-Ray, CCTV) a plus. Robust problem-solving and analytical skills Proven ability to work under pressure and with other people Technology Good all-round understanding of technology and its applications Good understanding of networking skills (essential) Proved experience in supporting and implementing ERP and HR Tools; Qualifications Technology, Computer Science or Project Management Focussed Degree (desirable) Good level of IT literacy and proficiency in IT Service Delivery and on-site Support Fluent English; Dutch and/or Papiamentu essential; Spanish desirable for LATAM liaison Mobility · Willing to travel ~20 % across ABC islands and to regional hubs.
