General Responsibilities
Lead (technical/managerial), mentor, and develop teams of outsourced system engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, knowledge sharing, continuous learning, and process improvement.Develop and execute long-term strategies for server and storage infrastructure that align with the organization’s business objectives and future technology trends.Prepare and manage budgets for server and storage operations, ensuring cost-effective solutions and adherence to financial targets Including management of the Purchase Requisitions, Invoices and accruals.Lead regular team meetings and provide effective communication of policy and management directives. Foster a team culture of collaboration and encourage new ideas.Work collaboratively with the IT project managers, other IT managers, and technical team members to achieve desired results that support company goals. Work with organizational leaders to identify infrastructure-related initiatives and needs and design and implement solutions.Analize and present Server Team service metrics in the monthly IT MOS – Incident, change request, root cause analysis and proactive resolution.Collaborate with vendors and service providers to ensure optimal support and product lifecycle management, discover and evaluate new technology, renew maintenance and subscriptions, and plan and install new hardware or software solutions.Ensure all processes, procedures, and infrastructure changes are documented for compliance and future reference.Lead the planning, deployment, and maintenance of server and storage systems across Wintel, Linux, Azure, private cloud (Colo) environments.Drive global standardization and simplification in the management of current server environment to improve operation efficiency and cost optimization.Working with Client service team to develop a server asset management process in CMDB.Actively participate and provide guidance in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues, providing hands-on support. Monitor, delegate, and resolve incident and request tickets as needed.Serve as the highest-level escalation point for complex server and storage issues. Actively participate in critical incident resolution process.Implement and enhance consistent system monitoring and alerting to maintain the highest levels of data reliability, data protection, and system availability.Enhance established backup, replication, and recovery strategies to improve Disaster Recovery capabilities and processes.
Experience / Qualifications
Proven technical experience in IT infrastructure with a focus on Wintel and Linux servers, SQL, enterprise storage, enterprise backup solution and Azure cloud environments.
Proven leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams with ability to direct and prioritize the workload of the team
Excellent communication and analytical skills to articulate technology strategies to stakeholders.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address technology issues and challenges, ensuring minimal downtime and business disruption.
Additional Desired Qualifications:Knowledge of network technologies, enterprise and cloud security best practices and monitoring, software development methodologies and project management principles.
Experience with managing, updating and patching Wintel Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux
Experience managing enterprise and cloud backup solutions to ensure data protection and retentions are compliant with business, legal, and audit requirements.
Excellent understanding of budgeting and financial management principles.
Experience managing enterprise Disaster Recovery to plan, execute, and improve each DR exercise for on premise and cloud environments.
Experience in leading outsourced engineering teams
Strong desire to grow professionally &assume additional responsibilities.
