IT Infrastructure Specialist - Junior

ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems is a global pioneer in access solutions, known for our innovation, integrity, and commitment to quality.  We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior IT Infrastructure Specialist to provide first and second line support to our office and field teams across the APAC region.  This role is based in Melbourne (with travel across our sites in Port Melbourne, Bangholme and Epping) and will report to the IT Operations Manager.

 

What You’ll Be Doing:

Provide hands-on IT support to end-users and field engineers Assist with system administration and daily monitoring of IT systems Manage local backup solutions and implement redundant setups Participate in local infrastructure projects and APAC-wide IT meetings Document procedures and optimize business processes Collaborate with regional IT teams and support service desk operations

 

What You Bring:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science Strong knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Windows 10/11, and Windows Server 2012/2016 Basic understanding of MS Exchange and VMware (preferred) Networking experience and familiarity with ITIL framework Excellent communication and problem-solving skills A proactive, customer-focused attitude with the ability to work independently and in a team Occasional travel within the region may be required On-call availability as needed
