A Kforce client in the services industry is seeking a skilled IT Infrastructure Engineer/System Engineer to join their team in Tampa, FL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security. Responsibilities: * Design, implement, and manage efficient and scalable IT infrastructure solutions, including on-premises servers, networks, storage, and cloud-based systems * Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of infrastructure systems; Monitor system health and resource utilization, optimizing as needed for cost and efficiency * Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and patch management; Apply hardening measures to servers, networks, and cloud environments * Apply security best practices across all infrastructure components; Monitor for vulnerabilities, breaches, and suspicious activity; Implement and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and IAM solutions * Diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure issues (network, server, cloud, security); Respond to and investigate security incidents, coordinating with relevant teams * Work closely with Business units to provide technical support, training, and guidance to users and junior team members * Develop, implement, and test backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies for both on-premises and cloud systems * Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, procedures, and incident reports; Ensure compliance with relevant regulations (SOX, NIST, etc.) and internal policies * Participate in capacity planning, performance tuning, and cost optimization for infrastructure resources * Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies and best practices to enhance infrastructure efficiency, security, and scalability
