Kforce has a client in Houston, TX that is seeking a highly skilled IT Infrastructure Architect to lead the design, implementation, and support of enterprise infrastructure solutions. This role requires deep technical expertise across operating systems, cloud platforms, storage systems, and ERP/database environments. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong troubleshooting capabilities and project leadership experience. Key Responsibilities: * IT Infrastructure Architect will develop and implement long-term infrastructure strategies aligned with business goals and emerging technologies * Architect and manage cloud services including Azure Functions, API Management, Azure Storage, Key Vaults, Virtual Networks, App Gateways, Network Security Groups, Azure Data Lake, and AWS infrastructure * Design, configure, and maintain infrastructure components such as Windows/Linux servers, remote desktop farms, virtualized environments, and SaaS platforms like Dynamics 365 Finance * Provide tuning recommendations for application systems and database platforms to ensure optimal performance and availability * Manage high availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies in compliance with business continuity requirements * As an IT Infrastructure Architect, you will serve as a technical escalation point for complex issues involving applications, networks, and system interfaces * Lead infrastructure-related projects, including planning, execution, and documentation * Ensure compliance with IT architecture standards, policies, and procedures * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and improve IT processes * Evaluate and implement new hardware, software, and emerging technologies
